Hi! I am Virginia Lara
I was born and raised in Madrid, Spain. At nineteen, I left my home country, not realizing I was embarking on a journey that would immerse me in the richness and diversity of more than fifty cultures. Although my initial studies were in Hospitality, my path soon shifted toward wellness. In 1998, I began my professional life as a certified therapist, specializing in both eastern and western massage techniques, nutrition and diet theory, and stress management. My motivation was always to bring positive change to people’s lives through my passion for delivering wellbeing. By 2004, my career advanced to corporate management, serving as an executive director of Spa and Wellness. I mentored and led teams ranging from 30 to 150 people in leading spas around the world. In 2009, I experienced one of life’s most beautiful challenges—becoming a mom! Despite a common perception that working in a spa must be relaxing, the true meaning of wellness in my life was not always straightforward. Work-life balance was at best an elusive ideal and at worst a complete myth. Despite believing I was healthy, I struggled with anxiety, digestive issues, skin conditions, food intolerances, allergies, a midlife crisis, and ultimately, becoming a single mom. I tried to manage everything on my own until I reached a breaking point.
“This is when I realized I wasn’t really that healthy. I have taken my health, my body and my mind for granted all my life, and now it wasn’t just about how this was affecting me, but how it was affecting my loved ones too. I had become so consumed with making a living, that I lost sight of crafting a fulfilling life”
Although I was promoting wellness, I wasn’t practicing it authentically for myself. In 2016, I chose to reinvest in my education, seeking the guidance and inspiration I needed to realign my life. I became a certified Health and Wellness Coach, a Transformational Coach, and a Master Practitioner in Neurolinguistic Programming.
In 2025, I took a bold leap, dedicating myself entirely to my own wellness consulting and coaching practice. None of this would have been possible without the unwavering support of my family and friends. Their belief and encouragement remain my driving force and deepest source of inspiration.
Through all challenges and transitions, I have discovered that life is a remarkable and precious gift we only receive once. It is our responsibility to embrace it fully, living meaningfully and striving to become the best version of ourselves—for ourselves, for those we love, and for the world around us.
